Q: How do I get a Vacation Voucher?
A: Please call us at 855-520-2100 and start the donation process with one of our Donation Coordinators. Please mention that you heard about our Vacation Voucher promotion, and we will send you a Vacation Voucher with your tax deduction receipt once your donation has been processed.
Q: What do I need to do after receiving the certificate?
A: After you receive your vacation voucher, you will need to send in the activation form with a $50 refundable deposit. You’ll then be emailed a welcome letter with detailed booking information and a reservation request form. We must receive this reservation request form at least 45 days before your first preferred travel date. A Vacation Breakaway reservation agent will contact you approximately 30 days before your preferred travel date to discuss availability.
Q: Is this a timeshare?
A: No, this is not a timeshare.
Q: Can I bring children along?
A: Of course! But please check with hotel prior as there might be additional fees.
Q: What will I have to pay for my vacation?
A: Guests are responsible for the taxes on your hotel stay as well as a $50 deposit which will be refunded to you upon activation.
Q: How much will I have to pay in taxes?
A: Taxes vary by destination, but range from $12 to $15 per night. $25 fee will be added for holiday weeks.
Q: What types of hotels are available for my vacation?
A: Hotels are small inns and hotels such as a Comfort or Quality Inn.
Q: Is airfare to the vacation destination included in the voucher offer?
A: Unfortunately, vouchers DO NOT include airfare. You will need to provide your own transportation.
Q: Can I stay at the hotel for extra nights?
A: Yes, you can extend your stay at an additional fee.
Q: What is the $50 for?
A: The $50 refundable deposit is a deposit for the hotel.
Q: When will I get my $50 deposit back?
A: You will get your deposit back any time prior to the voucher’s expiration date, should you choose not to travel and have no confirmed reservation OR within 60 days of completion of travel with a hotel receipt showing no balance due. The only cases in which you will not receive a refund of your deposit are if you book a hotel stay and do not check into the hotel OR you do not request a refund before the voucher’s expiration date. Refunds must be requested in writing or via e-mail after your hotel stay or at any time during the 1-year period before your voucher expires.
Q: Will I know what hotel I am going to when I book my vacation?
A: After your vacation has been booked, you will receive a package with your hotel information.
Q: How long do I have to use the vacation voucher?
A: Voucher must be activated within 60 days of receiving it and used within a year of activation.
Q: When do I have to send in the deposit?
A: You have 30 days from the issue date on the voucher.
Q: What should I do if I don’t know my preferred vacation dates or destination?
A: Send in your form with your deposit. When you are ready to reserve just give us a minimum of 45 days before you want to travel.
Q: Where are the hotels located in relation to the destinations offered?
A: We cannot guarantee hotels to be in city centers, but they will be in the city you choose or in the surrounding area.
Q: Is the voucher transferable?
A: Absolutely! The voucher does not have to be used by the donor.
